The latest collaboration between the masters of kinetic, British comedy has finally arrived. Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost complete their “epic” Cornetto trilogy with The World’s End, a sci-fi adventure revolving around, you guessed it, booze. Following a failed attempt to finish a pub crawl for the ages when they were teens, five friends reunite some 20 years later to complete their bacchanalian journey. However, upon returning to their hometown, all is not right with the locals. Before long, they all realize that keeping the alcohol down is the least of their worries and that humankind could very well be doomed if they don’t do something. Go and see the funniest, most entertaining movie of the summer, if not the year, while it’s in theaters.
