Trek on down to the depths of lower Allston tonight for a hazy medley of guitar, synth, ambient, drone, and noise. Local experimenteur Mr Mayo throws it back with psychotic psychedelia of DOUBLE AWAKE, while friend CAUSTIC RAINBOW brings his experimental guitar-meets-synth ambient magic. Hailing from Boston and Providence, the duo MIDDLE KINGDOM make spacey, kaleidoscopic soundscapes that incorporate both guitar and a variety of homemade instruments. The evening is topped off with FUNNY MONEY, whose beautifully shape-shiftin jazz evokes an elusive dream of a brass band whose melodies you can only recall in snippets. All of this ambient bliss is going down at SBC in Allston so get on it.
