Mount Kimbie are the new magpies of electronic music, building with the best things they can find. In the studio, the British duo scaffolds intricate jams out of found sounds, drum machine scraps, synth whirls, and shiny threads of vocal. Live, they recolor these with real instruments and an impeccable sense of the room — in this case, the ever-classy Sinclair. They’re joined by Holy Other, whose album covers are all rumpled, empty sheets, and whose melancholy R&B feels like waking up to find your lover gone and is somehow still danceable. Vinyl Williams rounds out the bill with his unabashed experiments in pop enlightenment.  A perfect way to start a hot week off real cool.
