Someone must be disobeying, because people keep finding out about Don’t Ask Don’t Tell — which is awesome, because they throw the kind of mind-expanding, body-melting dance parties that put the stun in Allston. Expect a rush on Saturday, because besides the standard lineup of DJs (DJ Drasher, Nathanael Bluhm, and Brizgnar) and drag artists (Boychild, Qya Bellagio Cristal, Local Honey, Aquanette Jones, Social Services, and Starr Trekk), they’re topped off this week by Mykki Blanco. Blanco blends gender, bends ears, and transcends hype with her alternate-universe lyrics, her crisp flow, and how she eats the stage (the way she says “Blanco” alone… it blanks your mind and opens up your weekend). Since DADT is a multi-sensory experience, expect video projections, light shows, and some glitter in your mouth. Follow them down that rabbit hole and all the way to Great Scott.
