Looking for a memorable way to end your holiday weekend? Search no further than the lineup at Great Scott TONIGHT. Fuzz, featuring Charles Mootheart on guitar, Ty Segall on drums, and Roland Cosio on bass (with Mootheart and Segall sharing vocal duties) is finally making its way to good ole Allston. Fancied a stoner-rock group by some reviewers, the sounds of Fuzz will be familiar to anyone akin to the garage rock of San Francisco. Veering away from those lo-fi pop songs we know and love from the Moonhearts and Ty Segall, Fuzz is one part Sabbath-heaviness and one part all-out psychedelia. And totally friggin’ awesome.

Also hailing from San Fran are CCR Headcleaner, whose Tumblr describes themselves as “weirdo psych sludge mongers”. It’s an oddly specific but pretty much accurate self-evaluation– check the YouTube vid below for proof. CreaturoS rounds out the lineup– their oh-so-catchy garage rock swirls makes them a welcome local addition to the show tonight.
