SHIT & SHINE is a maximum noise rock band, a European/American, London/Texas hybrid thing. (Often many) drums pound on forever and ever, ear drums are shredded and you are left wanting more. Blasted electronics share just about equal time with guitar based sludgery within their catalogue. Almost a decade old at this point the band boasts a number of LPs, including one on our beloved LOAD RECORDS. As belligerent as their music can be, at the center of it is always, the groove. And that musical plan continues on within a couple of new releases from the band, LE GRAND LARANCE PRIX, out a little while ago on ROCK IS HELL, and JREAM BABY JREAM out now on RIOT SEASON. Hard to hear tunes from these new releases as they are both vinyl only and hard to zone in on internet-wise. The vid from JREAM BABY JREAM below shows the band exposing its soft underbelly for a moment, but really, have no fear: from what I’ve heard of both of these records otherwise, the rotten, stinking sludge groove you want to hear from SHIT & SHINE remains very strong.
