NO LOVE make me oddly nostalgic for the VFW shows that I used to go to when I was in high school. I’m going to say right off the bat that I know absolutely nothing about them other than that they are from Raleigh and they have a demo out on SORRY STATE. It kind of sounds like if you put together a band of people that separately like punk, hardcore, and pop punk. In this case it works really well, the songs are catchy and have a nice bite to them. On first listen I thought they main vocals were done by a snotty sounding dude (a la Pete Shelley) but now I’m pretty sure the singer is a chick. Either way I fucking love it. The harp in the begining of lead off track “10 Billion Dick Mountain” and all of the other peculiar musical interludes scattered about this demo make me love this band even more. If my internet stalking skills improve (or they reveal more about their mysterious selves somewhere online) I will report back with my findings, but for now, give this a listen!
The Unnatural / Doo-dah Man
The Unnatural celebrates LSD Day with the Doo-dah Man and Albert Hofmann. Thanks for all the acid trips. Keep on cycling.
