I like to listen to a little Oi! once in awhile…well, that’s a lie, I like to listen to a lot of Oi! all of the time. I recently stumbled across a new band from Richmond called NEVER WRONG, who recently released their first demo. They kind of remind me a little bit of THE BRUISERS blending hardcore riffs with a more traditional American Oi! sound. I like that the songs are mostly on the faster side, definitely some hardcore influence here but I still wouldn’t classify them as a hardcore band. Oi! never really seems to reinvent the wheel but I think that’s what I like about it, I’m totally fine with listening to songs about drinking beer and fighting over and over again. NEVER WRONG are going to release a proper at some point later on this year and I can’t wait to hear it.
