ALIMENT, or in English, FOOD, are a Catalonian band who play some damn catchy garage punk. They’ve already got a following in Spain, and I hope with the recent US release of their latest LP (it’s available on tape from SLOP BOP RECORDS) they’ll catch on here, too. This is a a fun record, it almost reminds me of CARBONAS at times, but everything is a little more melodic. It’s nice to hear a garage punk band play something a bit more polished. I generally like my music extra shitty but I really love this sound of this record, from the bass tone to the vocal harmonies and everything in between. This record is chock full of roll down the car windows and scream at the top of your lungs songs.
