If you are in the mood for some mind boggling, highly intelligent electronics, TONIGHT is most definitely your night. Get on out to the Middlesex Lounge, where Open Loop and Non-Event, in partnership with WZBC and Goethe Institut, host Germany’s FRANK BRETSCHNEIDER. This seasoned electronic producer manipulates sine waves, mathematical structures and white noise to create complex, titillatingly skewed rhythms that skitter and crash with a percussive emphasis that recalls of 90’s jungle breakbeats and minimal techno, but is clearly its own, highly riveting beast. He’ll be performing his latest release, Super-Trigger. San Diego multimedia artist Asha Sheshadri, aka ISOLDE TOUCH, incorporates stark visuals into her highly textures compositions, creating an smothering synthesis of lush vocal harmonics and abrasive automatica. DJ Sam L and DJ Won’t will also be in the building, keeping the abstract grooves flowing throughout this heady night. Come get twisted in Cambridge.
