The good people at Fast Apple have been indulging the people of Boston in a stupid amount of incredible shows for a while now– mainly within the upstairs bar of Harvard Square burger ‘n’ beer joint Charlie’s Kitchen.
While Mondays at Charlie’s have come to be known for a providing a delightful little punk potpourri of both local and touring bands, this Monday is offering a taste of something different. You can still get the same beer-battered fries but the soundtrack will be more subdued, trading in loud guitar distortion for spoken storytelling from local writers, musicians, artists, and thinkers. More than twenty readers will be present at the Cambridge spot with poems, fiction, personal essays, and more– you’ll cry, you’ll laugh, maybe you’ll even upchuck. Who knows. But we guarantee at least a thought or two.
