Halloween deserves a full week, not just a single night! So trick or treat yo self to a splendid show at Charlie’s Kitchen in Cambridge where the good people at Eye Design are putting on a delectable display of hard hitting rock and roll. Local Allstonians Idiot Genes follow up their show at O’Briens on Friday night with a headlining set applying their brand of sludge punk to the snotty songs of 80’s pop punk giants The Dead Milkmen. Supporting are Eye Design label mates Harris Hawk covering Northwest metal gurus The Melvins and Bob Records own Rye Pines covering 2000’s rock duo Death from Above 1979. Plus art from Sophie Tuttle and Heavy Hand Illustration and even a raffle for band merch and art.

With such rowdy local bands playing tunes by historical favorites, Monday night is the one time this Halloween week when it’s acceptable to cower in fear under the covers. So forget the fact that the weekend’s over and get excited for an eclectic mix of the new and the old.
