Get yourself down to the Washing St. Arts Center TONIGHT for an amazing, multi-media performance that will set your weekend off with a mind-bending kick. Premiering new work with live, electronic accompaniment will be sound and video artist EDWARD QUIST / embryoroom. The dense, pulsating fields of sound that this NYC artist wields are in constant dialogue with the rapid, hyper-digital projections he creates. The combination yields a psychologically and physically entrancing experience.
Steven Vallot will also be on hand to perform some of the expansive, fuzzy, melodic journeys he composes as Winter Line for his Aum War imprint. With plenty of wild, swooping arcs of noise and stacks of trance-inducing arpeggiations, Winter Line sees Vallot dishing out layered, distorted takes on beautiful harmonic content to great effect.
Local, electronic duo Private Archive are slated to open this bill with crushing feats of rhythmic chaos via modular synth manipulations. These two produce harsh, driving industrial slabs of techno-noise collisions for their co-owned label, also called Private Archive, based in Boston.
This lineup includes an array of electronic approaches, with visual insanity to boot! A real special treat to start your Friday night!
