For the home team: Mark Bodio aka DARK RODEO dribbles out some sulking cowboy fever dreams, ACLU BENEFIT inspires introspection and wholesome sing alongs, Wes Kaplan returns with saccherine and sulfer as THE CRATERS, and wunderkind BILLY MCSHANE (The Particulars) gets goofy on the piano. For the away team: TRACE MOUNTAIN channels that early Modest Mouse downer vibes and bare instrumentation, Maryland’s Jake Lazovick aka SITCOM twists with samples and crushed percussion, and FLASHLIGHT O sings sweet and low.
