July is underway and thankfully includes something a little extra special besides the usual BBQ distractions: an 8 day tour combining the heady, theatrical progressions of Brooklyn, NY’s CLOUD BECOMES YOUR HAND with the strange-yet-smooth pop structures of Burlington, VT’s RYAN POWER! This powerful pair of acts offers a harmonic and spiritual trip filled with surreally satisfying excitement to each city they hit. That includes our beloved Boston as well! Courtesy of yours truly here at the Boston Hassle, CBYH and Ryan Power will be heatin’ up the Cambridge Elks Lodge on July 12th with Chicago’s electronic post=punks COOL MEMORIES as well as local purveyors of scuzzy pop, SARALEE and IAN!
This tour, short as it may be, will bring some big melodies and expansive grooves along with it. The sonic wonder of CBYH and the soulful, harmonic adventurousness of Ryan Power are a sweet pairing for a summer show.
