Athens, Georgia is home to a lot of odd and wonderful pop bands. Tonight, O’Brien’s Pub hosts a particularly good one, CASPER & THE COOKIES playing material from their new album Dingbats. Leading up to the bizarro fireworks will be our own HARMOOS, whose sunny smiles and jangly jams bubble through their bittersweet flavor like an Italian soda. Notably, an appearance of C&TC is just epic enough to bring out a rare appearance of Western MA’s RIBBONCANDY, longstanding band of well-loved multi-instrumentalist Ken Mauiri. This will be rather a virtuous show for fans of odd pop, so consider tonight to be a premature Friday and come on out to Allstonia.
