Majical Cloudz is the latest project by Devon Welsh, alum of Montreal’s Arbutus Records, has a deep warm well of a voice and knows how to use it. Somehow, bandmate Matthew Otto’s gentle synth washes don’t buckle under its gravity, and he uses it to sing the only love song about bugs that has ever made cry.  Judging by the running tour diary he’s been keeping for Noisey, he also thinks a lot about his shows, and the band has run through many philosophical incarnations as they cross state line after state line. We’ll see what they think up for Allston. They’re joined by Moon King, a Toronto duo who perpetually slice off their French braid voices with buzz saw guitars, and local darlings Kid Mountain, who are ramshackle, squeaky, and cute.
