Truly EPIC show for ya tonight – four very different but equally excellent acts converge on the Cambridge Elks Lodge TONIGHT for a slip-n-slide extravaganza. OK there’s no actual water rides, but you’ll surely feel refreshed soaking in the soothing bubble bath of DUCKTAILS‘ high surf pop. Over the years this Ridgewood, NJ native has migrated from the tropical lysergic-dripping riffed-drones of his early tape experimentation and towards the dreamy crystalline pop structures characteristic of his group Real Estate, but his mellow watery moods delight all the same. Also up tonight are the incredible, the inimitable, the inevitable CHAIN & THE GANG, featuring powerhouse duo Ian Svenonius (Nation of Ulysses, The Make Up, THIS BOOK) and Katie Alice Greer (Priests). This snarling, snarky, drop-dead sexy pair will whip the crowd into a fiendish frenzy with their intelligent return to rock and roll’s roots. Also up is HUBBLE (mem. ZS, The Men), ripping open wormholes in your mind with his spaced-out kosmiche zones. Maine’s excellent METAL FEATHERS round out this eclectic show with intimate alt-rock grooves with out-of-focus lo-fi feel.
