The Firehouse in Worcester is playing host to a rambunctious lineup TONIGHT to help get your weekend started on a good note! Coming to Massachusetts from PA/NJ will be no-pop-wave-punk quartet BAD CANOES (ft. Marissa Paternoster from Screaming Females). Their sound is driving, melodic, and significantly off-kilter, with some of that angular rhythmic goodness that defined so much of the late 70’s/early 80’s punk offshoots. Addicting, aggressive, awesome new music from some talented out-of-staters.
Also making their way to Worcester from beyond the MA border (RI) will be sax-and-politically-informed punks DOWNTOWN BOYS. This group’s enthusiasm spills out in buckets, from the strong punch of their social critiques to the infectious, speedy delivery of their tunes.
Bringing a crustier and stranger punk rock mindset to this lineup are Worcester’s very own FUNERAL CONE, who promise to inject a good dose of crazy into your bloodstream. Representing the local vibes along with them are garage-punks GNARDS and the psychedelic art rockers known as SECRET LOVER – two Worcester groups that certainly know how to have a good time.
So if you like your punk rock to taste a little different, then come dig the sounds coming out of the Firehouse in Worcester TONIGHT!
