AUGUST NOISE JP @ JP LIBRARY

by

There are certain things you can only do in the summer here in New England. Going to concerts outside– or at the very least, enjoying them– is one of those things. That’s where August Noise JP comes in. A non-profit devoted to bringing free concerts to various outdoor spaces throughout Jamaica Plain, August Noise champions both new and veteran local musicians of various genres (this year’s lineup runs the gamut from bluegrass to rock to a flute/marimba duo) while giving audiences a chance to check out some fresh music in the fresh air.

Wondering who’ll be performing this afternoon? You’ll have to drop by the front lawn of the JP Library to find out, but you can check out the whole season’s lineup to see who might be performing. It’s kind of like taking a spoon to an ice cream cooler full of delicious flavors while wearing a blindfold. Speaking of which, the Friends of the JP Library will be on hand, hosting an ice-cream fundraiser! This is an all-ages event, so grab all your friends and enjoy a musical surprise today in JP.
