As per usual, Central Square knows how to show you a good time! First hotspot is the opening of Drawings on Papièr: An exhibit of work on paper by Anyahlee Suderman @Out of the Blue Gallery from 7-9pm, showing off some of local artist Anyalee Suderman‘s lesser known talents. Stop by the liquor store and holler @106 Prospect St for an intimate start to the evening with live music by Jennifer Matthews and plenty of good vibes.
Then head up the street to check out the opening night of Vic Rawlings: Sound Installation @Mobius which promises to be a new experience for most. The poetry of Susan Howe will be filling the space from seemingly every direction to create an auditory treat that will get those mind gears shifting from 6-10pm tonight. The installation will be around all weekend if you’re busy tonight…
Once you’ve had enough art, take the party over to Lilypad in Inman Square where pRIMORDIAL sOUNDS will be celebrating the release of Whistle Jacket‘s Hold Me While I Fall Apart, which is the label’s first 12″ release. Also playing are Double Stop and Future Days. Assume any show these guys put together is going to be a good, ass-shakin’ time. More info here
