Non-Event is long, and well known in the Boston for organizing shows featuring musicians of the farthest out order. One of their most consistent venues for housing such events(at least their less large ones) is Brookline’s Cafe Fixe. And tonight they are back in Cafe Fixe’s Washington Sq. locale serving up the monstrously inventive and universally lauded trumpet player Greg Kelley. Whether he is going solo (as it appears he is tonight with the aid of “electronics”), playing in rock bands like LIFE PARTNERS, or playing in one of his many ensembles(with the likes of Bill Nace or Vic Rawlings , etc.) Kelley’s trumpet is a sonic weapon to be heeded and stupified by. Get an earful in an intimate setting tonight.
