Michael Haneke shares the common tongue of love’s perseverance through the quiet, French-spoken film AMOUR (2012).  Georges (Jean-Louis Trintignant) and Anne (Emmanuelle Riva) leave an impressionable performance on all generations of the audience as they tackle on their last testimonial stretch after Anne suffers a stroke.  Though our couple are music teachers, we find ourselves watching the manifestation of silence overpowering the deterioration of the body.  In between the small talk that falls between Georges and varying degrees of concerned individuals, there may be a moment where it feels like time stops and Georges hands you a mirror, as if to ask you for advice or to tell you what growing old together really means.
