For my money, as far as weekdays go, Thursdays tend to be pretty lackluster, or at the very least nondescript. But hey, tonight’s different. Tonight you are presented with the opportunity to spice up yer Thursday BIG time by heading over to this absolutely killer show at Great Scott, replete with undeniable hooks and angular guitars.
Local warriors Free Pizza and Krill of course need no introduction; they’ll rip it up with some ragged, off-kilter garage pop tunes just like always. We’re also blessed to have two buzzy out-of-towners in our presence tonight: Atlanta art punks Warehouse, who just released their propulsive new LP, Tesseract, and New York gut-wrenching pop of Frankie Cosmos, who’ve garnered some serious momentum in the past year for her bedroom intimacy odes to the confusion and angst of young love. She’ll be playing as a full band featuring Porches‘ Aaron Maine. If you still haven’t checked out Frankie’s debut studio album, Zentropy, out last March, do yourself a favor and correct that right away. C’mon, make your Thursday count.
