Sam Laviazar lives in Somerville and is a long time member of the Boston area’s experimental music communities. A few years back he and Lee Tyndall started the amazing YDLIMIER TAPES in in order to document the improv, noise, and drone music that was emerging from New England’s soil. And document they have, and awareness they have raised for some of the strangest and most experimental sound makers you could ever be lucky enough to hear. Open your ears to what this staple and pillar of the furthest reaches of Boston’s underground music community is offering! And check out YDLIMIER TAPES dammit!
I don’t really like doing “top” lists so here’s 13 tapes from ’13 that I really liked by people I really like.
