Filled with images of urban landscapes, The Romancer contemplates the physics of heartbreak as they exist in the mind. Who are we without others? And more vividly, who are we when we’re alone? City alleys and statues in grey-scale form visual blocks for colorful portals to break through. The viewer glides in and out of these wavy realities. These purple hues are warm, they glow and we are floating within them.
The Hello Stranger’s gentle and piercing echo fades in-sync with portals that reveal their temporality. “Damaged for good” are the last lyrics that oscillate smoothly past us and force us to explore the beauty of stillness.
