Seattle’s KINSKI are in town tonight to play @ the Middle East Upstairs. We’re putting on the show, part of a very small tour they’re doing on the East Coast. These psychedelic, avant-rock mainstays have a new album called COSY MOMENTS out on (one of the best labels the planet has ever known) KILL ROCK STARS that sees them pushing into a somewhat pop oriented new direction. Below is the stream for the whole record. The amazingly titled “Riff Dad” is just as insanely and fuzzily overdriven as a rocker gets. Psychedelic moments arise in this psychedelic riff feast but this is truly all about the face blasting of in your an all out fuzz attack. This fuzz permeates much of the album and I’m all about it. It’s really a killer show tonight w/ William Tyler and Hurricanes of Love joining in and making it pretty epic. And when it comes down to it Central Sq. is not a bad place to be on a beautiful spring evening.
