We at the Hassle love to see local artists operating in different media and styles come together, support each other and celebrate our increasingly interconnected community. So of course we’re psyched for the release of the first issue of HUM JOURNAL, a locally focused print/online hybrid publication. With a minimal design aesthetic that puts emphasis on the artists’work, HUM seeks to be an ‘adhesive’ for an eclectic and exciting group of painters, poets, thinkers and musicians.

And what’s an art publication without a rocking release show? The HUM JOURNAL launch party will be rocking this Saturday at an arty loft in the Seaport District. Original pieces from the journal will be on exhibit, and there will also be live performances from 14-piece faux-italian loungers TREDICI BACCI (featured in the journal) and JP-based weirdo funk DJ group HOT COMPANY. And for the price of admission, you get your very own issue to take home and stare at longingly. With lots of festive decorations, prizes and maybe even a pinata, this party promises to be one seductive, silly extravaganza.
