How much do you really know about niche underground music scenes? Never enough! But at the very least, we would definitely hope you know a little bit about K Records pioneer Calvin Johnson—anything from his work with Beat Happening, Halo Benders and the Microphones, to his more recent Dub Narcotic Sound System and Selector Dub Narcotic projects will do.

The real deal that he is, Calvin keeps it DIY by playing places like the Whitehaus and Studio 550, and this time he’ll be at the brand new all ages spot in town—why, DAP of course! From a different corner of this region’s underground (no one’s exactly sure where though) comes Frank Hurricane, stumbling out from somewhere in the trees, talkin’ nonsense and prayin’ with guitar slung over shoulder. He’s come to tell us side-splitting true stories to the tune of an “oh hell yeah.” CT squeeze Perennial will bring a spunky art-punk party after Request Freebird gets your input on at least a handful of swoon-worthy, crooned songage. Definitely one not to miss! Come and brush up on your underground knowledge, because there will be a Pop K-wiz.
