You’re lightly potted in sand heated by the sun and wish you could pull the ground up and over you like a blanket; your body a small root in the Earth’s surface. Your skin faces the sky but you are not present. Warmth cuddles you just as it cuddles the clouds and the curvature of distant dunes.
Eyes closed, you see with your whole being. Blurs of reddish-orange and orangish-yellow hide in sight: a kaleidoscope of sun through your eyelids. Acoustic beats flurry around your mind while deeper notes take you further away. They pick you up and rock you as if a hammock were caught swaying lonesomely. You are listening to A.W.A.’s Nevermind (selections).
These tracks are meant for slow and prosperous days alike. Produced straight out of Newton, MA, A.W.A.’s Nevermind reflects an effortless conscientious vibe reminiscent of western folk (similar to Neutral Milk Hotel in some aspects). Not kidding, each listen to this album will leave you wanting more. Definitely check out the full album’s release, whenever that may be.
