Time to get quirky. Wes Anderson returns to the big screen with all his usual kaleidoscopic visuals, this time bringing us a darkly romantic comedy about foul goings-on in a lavish mountaintop retreat. Gustave H. (Ralph Fiennes) is the charming, yet creepy hotel concierge, befriending and bedding the affluent geriatric women who come through. When one of them turns up dead and leaves her priceless painting to Gustave in her will, suspicions arise and before long he’s on the lamb with his trusted lobby boy (Tony Revolori). In addition to Fiennes, we get a huge supporting cast including Bill Murray, Jude Law, Owen Wilson, Edward Norton, Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman, Willem Dafoe and Jeff Goldblum that bring their acting chops to Anderson’s unique eye for storytelling.
