Dipping a little further back into the putrid pile of WENT THERE vids in my stash is this over before you know what the hell is going on snippet of a ZIPPERHEAD set from a month or so back. ZIPPERHEAD have leapt to the forefront of the Boston punk & hardcore scene (for me at least) with their screeching, violent take on hardcore that rides that noise-punk line while maintaining fast punk speeds. The band’s riffs are stellar, its delivery as mentioned before, properly violent, and their live shows are fun as hell and capable of truly riling up the scum to which they sing (myself included). On this evening @ Roggies (I thought they were done with punk shows? But THIS one snuck in!???!) ZIPPERHEAD blasted through their set on a bill with the elevated NASA SPACE UNIVERSE. Good pairing. Should happen again somewhere, sometime. Sam P. caught the musical terror in the live setting, and I pass it along to you. As with most punk bands, you’re going to want to be there live to wholly take in the punk truth that is ZIPPERHEAD, but in the meantime…
