“Personalities” from Worcester’s Wicked Rot (featuring ISA X) is a mysterious bit of outer indie rock flavored guitar/voice/drum madness. A sax is splattered across certain sections, and a brooding trumpet lurks in the shadows. The whole thing has an aura that fills rooms (whatever that means). I should know, cuz I just wrote it, but oddly I do not. Fairly new, the duo is all over that spectral shit folk sound. A good crowd of timbres, sounds really good to me. “Personalities” comes from a tape released by Hidden Temple Tapes, one of Western Massachusetts’ finest.
