WHITE FENCE — “LIKE THAT”

by

A little over a year after the release of Cyclops Reap, psych-pop wunderkind White Fence is slated to release For The Recently Found Innocent via Drag City Records late next month. “Like That” is a sneak preview of the new album. And while Tim Presley’s tried-and-true high vocals and jingly guitar interludes are fully present, “Like This” is an uncharacteristically sunny track from White Fence. Could this be the influence of master-of-all-trades (including bubblegum pop-rock) Ty Segall, who produced the album and reportedly drummed on a few tracks? It seems more than likely.

Sadly, we’ll have to wait a month or so to get our grubby little paws on a copy of the full record, but “Like That” is streaming via Drag City’s soundcloud (see below) in the meantime. And tickets are still available for White Fence live at Great Scott on October 14 with buddies Juan Waters and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard.
