Pictureplane is a one man crew. He plays with a lot of equipment on stage. I don’t quite know what all of it is, but he made a mighty fine noise there a few weeks back at The Sinclair.
Industrial punks Youth Code were up next. They combine hardcore vocals with Wax Trax style electronics for a unique blend.
This was my first time seeing Health as a headline band and as a trio. They make a lot of noise for a trio. I don’t think they are quite as loud as APTBS or Lightning Bolt though. Their new album is heavier on the industrial sound rather than electronics. And the songs are more anxious. They invited the singer from Youth Code to sing the last song.
