Went There

Went There: Bob Mould Band w/ Screaming Females @ Paradise Rock Club 2/16/19

by

For a while now I’ve thought of the Screaming Females as one of the hardest working bands in music. They proved that yet again tonight by roaring though only a half hour of jams. They tore through a nice set of songs including Glass House, Bell, Fall Asleep, Step Outside & Agnes Martin, I would have like to have heard a couple more songs though.

The reason why they couldn’t is because a true legend was up next. He’s the legendary frontman of Hüsker Dü, Sugar or whatever else he’s been a part of, Bob Mould (I know I used the word legend twice but whatever) He came out wearing one of his famous flannels. But he did not have his Flying V. I actually don’t recall him playing those since the days of Hüsker Dü. By the way, Bob has a great new album out now called ‘Sunshine Rock’. It may be his most youthful sounding album yet. In the least, ;Sunshine Rock’ probably his most youthful sounding solo album. He featured many songs from that album on stage. He also mixed in a number of songs from Hüsker Dü & Sugar.

Bob Mould Band Setlist:
