ALEC K REDFEARN has been one of my favorite New England musicians going on more than a decade. Whether with The Eyesores or in other ensembles, his ability to dip into a multitude of genres is a joy to hear and witness. He brings that slightly menacing croon and that amazing accordion he is so in control of, with him for each and every musical twist and turn, whether it be Eastern folk grounded psychedelic freak-outs, or the most melancholy pop you might ever hear. And with The Eyesores as his backing group he appears at the height of his powers. The crowd was mesmerized and repeatedly lost it during their New England Underground Music fest set. Thanks to Michael Passarini for giving us the chance to catch this set in full some 3+ months after the fest. We’ll be sure to have these folks back up here sooner than later.
