I’ve been sitting at the computer with “(Join The) Hate Wave” on repeat for the last half hour, trying to figure out what to say about it but I am totally at a loss. As far as modern punk bands go, VIDEO are tops. Their first album has been blowing my goddamn mind for two years now, rarely leaving my turntable. If you have any interest in punk music whatsoever and you have not heard this band yet DROP EVERYTHING YOU ARE DOING AND LISTEN TO THEM. I nearly bought plane tickets once to go see them in their hometown of Denton, TX and I completely regret not going, they are THAT GOOD.

I still don’t know what to say about this song. You’ll want to join the hate wave after one listen, TV’s Daniel snarls throughout this song, begging you to embrace your inner hate. The vocal fuckery happening in the chorus is especially good, as is the guitar solo, AS IS THE ENTIRE SONG! This is a band that has created a sound that’s all their own, and I really don’t want to talk about it, I just want you to hear it.
