2017 has certainly seen its share of ups and downs, with the downs reaching record lows.. In spite of, or rather because of the record shittiness, I’d like to dedicate this list to the source of some of my brightest highlights of the year past, my pet chickens. My most peaceful moments of 2017 were the lazy summer afternoons lounging in the grass with some hens. On many occasions, sparrows, squirrels, and bunnies would approach us out of curiosity. And on those occasions, I would feel like a baller real-life Snow White. I am extremely grateful for these critters in my backyard sanctuary, and I would be remiss not to acknowledge their role in my emotional health. So in honor of three special ladies, here it goes:
