To my surprise, the most satisfying harsh noise I’ve heard this year is Brazilian. VICTIM! emerge from the shadows of the internet with a digital thrust on Pupila, out on Seminal Records (also from Brazil). Recently, V! released two videos for songs off of two separate releases.

“Medo” stands out. Taken from the aforementioned Pupila, “Medo” hits on a terrifying nerve of power electronics – the endless cycle of destruction, a cycle that only exists for itself, that eats itself again and again, but that keeps on pumping, eating, and singing.
