As anticipated, that crazy bizarre burst of full-on summer beauty has fallen back into a somber grey freshness more in-line with March expectations. If you’re looking for some live musical accompaniment to help make the transition look no farther than All Asia in Cambridge for a special night of psychedelic electronic sweetness. Mysterious Allstonian 3-piece NEWGRAM/OLDSAM will start us off with a serious psych-noise hullabaloo. Then LITTLE SPOON will take over, lulling us off to soft neon dreamscapes with their ambient-pop slumbergaze lullabies. Local hero BIRTHDAYS will shake us from our reveries with tropical-tinged looped acid anthems. Finally POLTERGEIST FRICTION rounds out the evening with heavy stoned beats that teeter on the precipe of experimental insanity but somehow find their balance in the mess of otherworldly sounds, collaging into one serious psyched out groove.
