Tonight, local classic psych-guru extraordinaire, Kris Thompson, will be celebrating 50 years of fighting for the paisley cause. He’s done a few things in his day: re-introduced Bobb Trimble to the world, jammed with Damo Sazuki, Gary War, Concord Ballet Orchestra Players, to name a few. He’s a pillar of the psych/weird community here in Boston, and he’s doing his 50th in just about the coolest way possible; He booked an ideal lineup at the Lilypad in Cambridge! Featuring Mmoss (NH), whose new LP, “Only Children” will be physically available for the the 1st time anywhere tonight! Grab one, it’s seriously awesome. Also appearances by drone meisters HERBCRAFT, improv space damageers DA BURDZ and a super-special mini-set by THE PREFAB MESSIAHS, Kris’ college band — the kind of college band that plays impeccable Nuggets/13th Floor Elevators style pop . All in all, a sweet time!
