THE LEMONS have made a quick splash back on the scene with two new bite-sized songs. Their debut Hello, We’re The Lemons introduced the band and their sunshine style pop songs, showing off their bold retro flair. The album is a walk through some of life’s simplest joys, like animals, fruity candy, and hanging with pals. It is no wonder they were attracted to the free-wheeling folks of GNAR TAPES, a label that specializes in snappy songs for fun times, for this release. The two treats on Judey show the band has not lost any of their bright and peppy spirit, packing a large dose of energy into the two quick tracks. Featuring a signature vocal sound strewn with playful  harmonies, and these fit nicely with the particularly shout-along pop style of “Judey”. More synthesizers are thrown in the mix, amping up the band’s levels of old time nostalgia. The song clocks in at just under a minute, but it is well suited for being played on repeat, and can be listened to until the good vibes really set in. The song is paired with a complimentary instrumental track, “Big Mac”, which plays like the outro music to a old cartoon show. Or, rather, the intro, as these two songs are surely on the beginning of what THE LEMONS have ready to release this year.
