Suzi Q is a new Omaha band featuring members of killer Nebraskan hardcore acts like Pisswalker and Bib. The band’s demo features five tracks of cyber-punk somewhat in the vein of Boston’s Sadist – infusing industrial noise into hardcore punk. Suzi Q freshens up the sound by adding a snottiness to their music – think some blend of industrial, very late 70s punk, 80s USHC weirdness, and a 21st century abrasiveness. If you’re a fan of the bands on La Vida Es Un Mus, Suzi Q is going to be one to keep an eye on. Hopefully a tour will come through the northeast in the not-too-distant future. Hop on the bandwagon now or be left behind when the computers rise up.
