North Shore hardcore punk. Fine fine stuff. Properly shambling. A rarer breed of hardcore these days what with the cleaner guitars and vocals on display. Doesn’t mean it aint mean, cuz it is. SIMILAR ITEMS immediately stands out from the pack because of their songwriting. That’ll always do it. In particular “The Antagonist” is a standout. From a songwriting standpoint it’s a unique song, starts and stops and right on guitar playing, with the lyrics back it up. And all of it’s part of a two song “suite.” One of the better punk bands in the region (Salem) I continue to think. Looking forward to the next few songs they let loose.
