“Death & Taxes” is the first track from the upcoming Lost Sessions ’91 7” coming out next month on Boston’s PATAC Records. The 4-song 7” features the previously lost Seth Putnam tracks, although “Camera” appeared on the 13 Bands Who Think You’re Gay compilation. While paling in comparison to the Drop Dead demo, one of the seminal releases of 80s hardcore and arguably the best release to come out of Boston’s scene, Lost Sessions ’91 is an important document of the legendary band, one that has been the source of rumors and legends for the last 20 years. “Death & Taxes,” as well as “Camera,” has a more grindcore feel that the proto-powerviolence of Drop Dead and the Cleanse The Bacteria compilation tracks.
