Those of us at the Hassle have been pretty keen on the gritty, scum-punk of Sick Thoughts for a while. Check out Dan’s review of this summer’s Sick Thoughts tape release, and Christine’s interview from last summer with Drew Owen, the Baltimore teen (!) behind Sick Thoughts. Though if understanding lyrics is your thing (though really, who does that?), you may wish to avoid. After all, as Dan says, “it is of course a scuzzer (cuz SICK THOUGHTS doesn’t make non-scuzzers).” Check it out streaming below via Goner Records, pick it up on vinyl (coming soon), and keep an eye out for this dude.
