PUTREFAÇÃO HUMANA – COLHENDO DESESPERO

by

Originally released as a cassette in 1994, an archival effort from Brazilian labels Purgatorius Records, Virus Productions, Positive Noise Records, Calafrio Discos, Grind Your Mind Records, Poço Discos, Scotland’s At War With False Noise, and the US’s SPHC has saved Putrefação Humana’s Colhendo Desespero from obscurity. 90s Brazilian noisecore has always had a punishing, shit-fi sound, with bands like Noise and Pure Noise. No fidelity blasts of muffled drums, piercing guitar feedback, and growled vocals. In other words, noise not music. Putrefação Humana pushes this sound to its extreme. Colhendo Desespero is a record of inaudible drums and unceasing high-end guitar feedback. No 1234 noisecore here. 50 songs on side A, and 35 more on side B, each charge ahead without differentiation. Just pure, disgusting noisecore. If you like your grindcore/noisecore at the point of sheer noise, take two steps forward and embrace the unrelenting trash. Here’s to the destruction of music.

For those of you that need more, Mais Ruído Records released a 7″ lathe of two rehearsal sessions earlier this year.
