A lot to chew on for punk bands these days, yet so few still manage to rise above the noise & clatter of the day. No problem there for Southeastern MA legends THE PROLETARIAT who as you probably know reactivated a while back, and if I may, sound as if they never set down their instruments. On “Soft Targets” they get at our neutered and unwilling government and the plague of angry, foolish, weak white men/boys resorting to turning their big guns on vulnerable people. These are sick times we live in. Growing sicker by the minute. THE PROLETARIAT are a fantastic sounding release valve even after all these years, their post-punk sounding fucking alive. Glad to have them doing it. Support this bunch, they do it right. “Soft Targets” is off the the band’s latest record MOVE.
