What we have here is a trio of Cambridge and Allston dudes serving up cool, groovy, psychedelic rock and roll in a dozen different ways. Whether it be a juicy prime riff, perfectly prepared and borderline additive pop hooks, droning a la kraut or stoned-by-the-ocean side ballad with psilocybin dressing CREATUROS will keep you coming back for more. All joking aside, this band is incredible at giving you everything you might desire in a garagey psych rock outfit and with the goddamned good songs to back em up. Their new tape SWAMPPTHINGG is the perfect example of their ability to bring you nasty catchy rock in a variety of ways, not that we expected any less from these guys. Dangerously active duo Spencer Gralla and Noah Bond (who also run thangs over at pRIMORDIAL sOUNDS blog/label) started the band after Doomstar! split and their teaming up with local scene pillar and bassist extraordinaire Joe Marrett is a just plain killer combination. Listen on their bandcamp, get the new tape, wear it out, then come see them play at Homegrown 4: Boston Hassle Fest with similarly psyched out garage pop genius DAN MELCHIOR on November 2nd! Just one more good reason to go over HERE and get your tickets in advance, that and you get bonus HG4 swag for your generous contribution.
HOMEGROWN 4: BOSTON HASSLE FEST is happening on November 2nd and 3rd @ the Cambridge Elks Lodge @ 55 Bishop Allen Drive, Central Sq., Cambridge, MA.
